The stone lets me turn in my house quest daily for stone (20 each time), plus I've got plenty of iron, silver, and copper from jackpot nodes to craft weapons with. I've used my noproficiency alt to plant and gather my beds, and he does seem to get slightly less plants, about 35 less on average.

Copper comes from Fortuna Veins. One you've completed mining a regular mining vein, there's a chance a Fortuna Vein appears. Fortuna has a chance to contain the rare metals. Copper is relatively common. You're probably easier off just to buy it through the Auctioneer.
